Honouring the Pause

Clear. Breathe. Refill. Repeat.
I took a quiet step back from YouTube these past couple of weeks.
Not because anything was wrong.
Not because I was overwhelmed or off track.
But simply because I needed space to be in my own energy.
To slow down.
To breathe.
To drink in the stillness.
To play, to create and to be a woman who nourishes herself before she speaks again.
Sometimes our greatest medicine is in the pause. And yet, the mind loves to make stories—
“Are you okay?”
“Shouldn't you be doing this right now?”
“Is something wrong?”
No. Nothing is wrong. In fact, everything is exactly right. Because I was listening to what I needed. Honouring what I felt. Refilling because my energy is sacred.
And that is freedom. A freedom all of us can claim within us. And the freedom seed I offer you today - Sometimes the smallest, seemingly insignificant act, moment or choice, can bring us the most profound gift and truth.
There’s something deeply sacred about taking time without explanation, without apology, and without needing the outer world to understand. It’s a radical reclaiming of your own energy and rhythm. I've been playing at the beach, enjoying time with my family, creating things that have great meaning to my soul....All because I honoured my need to pause, to replenish.
Although I don't need to explain myself to you beautiful soul, I'm sharing this because so many of us ignore our need to pause in favour of the external worlds needs. We are taught to actively give away our precious moments and pauses, that our soul deeply (and sometimes desperately) needs to take!
So if you're feeling any of these signs below, it may be a clear signal that it is time to reclaim your pause, without apology, and return to you:

You're more irritable or reactive than usual

Everything feels loud, cluttered, or too much

You’re saying “yes” when your whole body wants to say “no”

You’re longing for something but can’t quite name it
- You feel confused about your purpose and direction, or feel ungrounded in your self

You feel disconnected from your inner voice, or tired in your bones
These are all clear signs for me and many that I have worked with, that it is your time to slow it all down for just a moment. Clear your energy. Feel yourself again. And fill your cup. Let the world wait - Because it is your world you are existing in!
Here are some simple, sacred ways to honour your needs and slow it down to come back to your energy🕯
- Take 10 minutes to breathe deeply into your belly and stretch your body like you LOVE IT.
- Say no today, without explaining. Just… no.
- Light a candle and sit with yourself in silence. Ask your most inner self, “What do you need, love?”
- Journal on these questions: Who am I and what do I actually want and need?
- Take a walk, take a bath, take a nap. Without guilt.
Slowing down is not weakness. It’s strength. It’s clarity. It’s the soil where your power roots deeper. It’s where you meet the voice of your soul again. And it's easier than you think.
So if you’ve been spinning, moving too fast, trying to manage it all—this is your permission slip to stop for a moment. Even for a day. Even for an hour.
Your energy is precious. You are allowed to protect it. You are allowed to replenish it. You are allowed to honour your energetic needs.
May today be your return.
Back to your breath.
Back to your center.
Back to what truly matters.
