The air feels different, doesn’t it?

Cool nights carrying secrets, wind teasing the edges of your hair, while the sun still lingers heavy and warm like summer on your shoulders all day long. There’s a pulse in the earth, something stirring, a rhythm that feels half wild, half sacred. It’s the perfect in-between, where the ordinary bends just enough for magic to slip in…if you let it.

I feel October in my bones. The tug to play without apology, to move like fire and water, to dwell in the forest, to crush herbs between my fingers and watch their scent spiral like smoke in the wind, to speak words into the dark of the night, and carve candles with magic that carry my intention, my power.

October awakens the witch in me. That part of me that knows magic is real. That the magic isn’t in the tools, the candles, or the ritual alone—it’s in me, and in you. Every spell comes alive because we breathe life into it, because our energy, our knowing, our presence is what transforms intention into reality. We are the spell that gives said spell its power. We are the dream that flows onto the paper into reality.

We all have an inner witch; one who raises her power, intends with every fibre of her being, her mind, her body and her spirit, merged together as one power.

In fact, not that long ago, someone actually called me a witch and I was a little startled.

Not because she wasn’t already alive inside me—but because no one had ever said it aloud to me. In fact, I had never perceived myself as a witch. After all, I am many things, and the witchy part of me, is but one facet of all that we must summon from our being along this journey. But in that moment when they said "Erin the witch", I felt a shiver—wild, ancient, true and untamed—like electricity running through my bones. And then I knew: claiming her, the witch within me, was its own kind of holy magic.

This October, I want to invite you to embrace the powerful witch within you. To light candles that flicker shadows on the walls, to mix herbs with intention, to raise your energy, to play, to craft, to cast—fully and unapologetically.
